![]() Also spiders and spider queens are neutral to Webber and won't attack unless attacked upon, and will not drain Webber's sanity when around him. Webber however lacks in sanity with a max of 100 meaning unless you keep a 100% sanity meter hands attempting to grab at your campfire, fire will be there often which can be a pain. Webber is also the only character who can build spider eggs to spawn spider nests and starts with a spider egg in his inventory, along with 2 monster meat. So it is possible to just eat monster meat, making the spider strategy i mentioned earlier doable. Webber is also the only character that can eat both raw and cooked monster meat with no sanity or health penalty. It provides insulation like Wilson's but much less, still in winter I would say have it fully grown anyway and keep it keep it cut during the heat. Now enough with strategy talk, let's actually get into the character Webber and his play style, shall we? So Webber is like Wilson in a way with his beard even though it grows a bit faster, instead of beard hair when cut it gives 10 sanity and some silk. Simply build a nest and place your chests around the nest, anyone who comes near the chests has spiders come at them, if they die take their stuff too. They way to get this food is simple yet so strong, hire a spider from one nest then go to another, after that make your spiders attack some random non minion spiders they will go back and forth attacking then you just stand in the middle of the war holding down the space bar to collect rewards (Silk, Glands, Monster Meat) do this quickly as spiders will eat monster meat on lying on the ground, Now you can survive with the best of the best, one more tip real quick even though this is a bit off topic, if you are ever afraid of someone taking your stuff there is 1 way to stop anyone that is not a Webber from taking it, pvp or not. Now food for Webber is super easy and you have the easiest food supply out of all the characters. For most bosses it's the same except instead of pigs bring along a army of spiders, and when falling back your last resort is to use the nest(s) as a fallback attack hoping the spiders can finish the enemy off. I already explained how to deal with pigs in the previous paragraph. Even if you did not hire one you have 2 options in this scenario, 1: attack the hounds(s), or 2 my preferred choice: run around in circles of a nest and hope a hound bites a nest when missing, if doing so the spiders and spider warriors will come to fight the hound and over crowd him killing him at a decent pace, this method is effective but costs some health if the hound bites you instead so a more risky option. Now when you hear the sounds of hounds what do you do? You stay with your spiders if they are out hire one spider and if you are attacked they should begin to attack them. ![]() Surviving is very similar for most of the characters so I won't go into the details for how to survive every event as for I wish for this to be a short guide, I don't write books haha. Now that the buildings are out of the way for now build your spider nest from the egg you spawned with next to the one you're building near, you will need two separate nests to battle them for easy food later. Once the fire is built build a science machine and if you can build a alchemy machine if not, build it whenever you get the chance. Once you have those things begin to build a permanent campfire at the location you found previously. Pick flowers as needed to keep sanity high and keep the pedals for the garland hat. During this made torches during nights to not die from the darkness, or let your sanity drain fast as hell. That way a science machine and alchemy station can be made quickly in the start. ![]() Now that the base location is found unless your base area is around rocks i suggest you get some gold 10 or more should do well. But for me at least I always look for 2 things, the pig king and a natural spider nest preferably level 2 as a solo pig can wipe out a level 1 nest but not a level 2, giving you a fallback in case of a pig attack. You should start generally the same as the rest grabbing grass, flint, twigs, berries, etc. ![]() Now we will start in the first month and the general starting phase with collecting your stockpile and winter and such. I will cover some multi-player strategies though as I talk to other Webber players and they gave me some friendly advice. Most of this guide though will be from a single player standpoint as I normally build alone. Now this guide will go into as much depth as I can as a Webber player. Out of all the characters I have played Webber has remained my favorite even with the lack of pig companions he still can be very powerful. Hi there! Today I will be covering a guide on Webber in the Don’t Starve Together game.
